- Group Similar Items Together

Not only is this a good way to maximize storage, but it keeps your garage organized as well. Consider investing in large plastic storage bins for each type of item you have in your garage. For instance, keep all of your tools in one bin and sort your basketball and baseball equipment into another bin. If you have a lot of various tools and supplies all over the garage, it can turn into a nightmare for you to find anything. Try grouping things together so it is easier for you to get to them.
